Vicente Fox Against National Guard at Border

Written by Robert Rhodes on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 in: Politics |

So, el Presidente Vicente Fox is taking a tour through the United States, promoting the idea of illegal immigrants from Mexico getting a free ride:

“We don’t set up walls, and that’s not the way you’re going to fix this situation,” Fox said in Spanish to representatives of groups active in Utah’s Mexican community. “It’s not with fences that we are going to solve this problem.”

There were cheers of “Viva Mexico” as Fox shook hands before leaving for an official dinner at the governor’s mansion.

Well, excuuuuse the stinky poo out of me. But the last I checked, Fox’s presidential powers END at the Mexican/American border.

Fox: You don’t like the idea of the USA putting up a wall, and running the National Guard across the border to assist the Border Patrol to help prevent illegal immigrants from crossing the border? Why? Could it be because – what was the number? – 15% of the Mexican workforce is in America, and most of those send back money to home (Mexico) in the sum of something like $2 Billion/year?

How about this, el Presidente: go back home, and take care of the corruption that is in Mexico before the end of your term in December. You do remember Mexico? Right? That country that you’re in charge of, but apparently you’re not?

Give me a break. Por favor.

  • Nice post. Vincente Fox is just pathetic. He’s as corrupt as the drug runners and kidnappers that are rampant throughout his country. He needs to clean up his crap at home before he starts worrying about a little fence.
