Soldier Refuses Iraq Deployment

Update: In addition to Michelle Malkin’s blog, I suggest checking out her “Vent” episode about Deserter Watada over at HotAir.com.

Lt. Ehren Watada is refusing to be shipped to Iraq. He says that the war is illegal and immoral. The MSM is calling him a dissenter.

No. He’s defying his orders.

Newsflash: soldiers don’t make policy. They do what their commanders tell them to do.

This guy can make any whiney-butt arguments he wants: he chose to be in the military. The Iraq war was already in motion when he joined.

His father, Bob Watada, was a Vietnam anti-war protester. Like father, like son.

Now it’s my turn to borrow a line from the Dixie Chick’s Natalie Maines:

I’m embarrased that Ehren Watada is from Hawaii.

However, it does display to the nation the liberal mentality of the state of Hawaii.

Another thing I’m embarrased about.

Ah, to be a conservative in a flood of libs.

RLR

See Michelle Malkin’s much more complete analysis of this so-called soldier.
