I’m sorry. I’m filing this under “what a bunch of crap.”

At 6AM this morning, here in Honolulu, twelve federal Marshals busted into the Chapman’s house, and, with guns drawn, arrested Duane Chapman. He was asleep at the time. Duane’s wife, Beth, was busy getting the children ready for school.

Soon after, the Marshals then went out and arrested partner Tim Chapman and son Leland Chapman.

They were arrested by the US Marshals, by a request from the Mexican government stemming from a 2003 bounty that Dog and his team tagged: they grabbed Andrew Luster, who was convicted of multiple rape charges. In Mexico, bounty hunting is considered kidnapping. After spending a few days in jail, Dog and his group left the country while out on bail. Mexico wanted them back.

Now, three years later, all of sudden, Washington has signed a warrant for the arrest and transport of Dog and his group back to Mexico.

The only people that are happy about this turn of events are the Mexican government and the 12 or so people that were involved in the arrest of Dog this morning. The rest of the country is pretty much saying the same thing I am:

What a bunch of crap.

I’ll be curious to see how long this charade goes on.
