Applied Research Laboratory Center

Written by Robert Rhodes on Friday, September 28, 2007 in: Politics |

The University of Hawaii voted yesterday to approve the plans for an ARLC.

I’m surprised, and shocked. Like most universities in today’s society, UH is very liberal. As a result, anything to do with the military is usually frowned upon as being nothing less than evil.

In fact, Kalani Makekau-Whittaker, associate director of the Native Hawaiian Student Center in Hilo, referred to the contract as “blood money.”

Writer Kevin Dayton, Advertiser Big Island Bureau, reported that Makakau-Whittaker said “…[this] project means the university is contemplating participating in “murders” by the U.S. military around the world, and compared that with the willingness of Nazi Adolf Eichmann to exterminate Jews to advance his own career.”

Well, obviously comparing the US Military and UH to a monster of the Nazi party bent on murdering Jews is nothing less than a level-headed argument.

If you’re an idiot.

In celebration of Air Force Week – the 60th anniversary of the United States Air Force – the Thunderbirds put on a show for us here in Waikiki.

I took some photos and video clips of the event. Enjoy.

Childhood Lost

Written by Robert Rhodes on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 in: Politics |

Recall what I said about Saul Arellano?

“You know who I feel sorry for? The boy. From this point on, little Saul will be a tool for illegal immigrant groups – pro amnesty groups – to use. He’ll be stuck on the front line, to pull the bleeding heart strings of everyone in the country.”

That time has arrived.

Talk about a poster child for the illegal immigration movement.

What a tremendously sad, sad state of affairs. That so-called mother should be ashamed of herself.

Radical Islamist Wear

Written by Robert Rhodes on Monday, September 3, 2007 in: Politics |

I can’t publish a paper, but I can link to a comic that most newspapers refused to print because it mentioned “Radical Islam.”

Berkeley Breathed’s Opus:

Opus Comic Strip

Don’t just read it and laugh. Remember that most newspapers didn’t print this cartoon… but the week before were happy to print one about Jerry Falwell. This just proves that the Main Stream Media doesn’t give a hoot when other religions are made into jokes, but you better not insult those Islamists!

“Mexico does not end at its borders.”

Written by Robert Rhodes on in: Politics |

That’s funny, I thought that was why borders exist.

What is it with the nuts in Mexico? Why are we giving them the time of day? When was the last time we decided policy for Mexico? Or Canada?

Discussions are one thing… but the idea of demanding change to benefit themselves – because their country sucks – should be their problem.

From the Houston Chronicle AP article:

“[Mexican] President Felipe Calderon blasted U.S. immigration policies on Sunday and promised to fight harder to protect the rights of Mexicans in the U.S., saying ‘Mexico does not end at its borders.’”

“He also reached out to the millions of Mexicans living in the United States, many illegally, saying: ‘Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico.’”

Here’s an idea, El Presidente… why don’t you start trying to fix your own stinking country, and keep your nose [and other various body parts] out of ours?

If we close Gitmo, maybe we can move it to Mexico. See how they like having a bunch of illegal immigrants in their country. Just because they would be illegals with murder, death and destruction on their mind.. well.. Maybe we could fight for the rights of those illegals and their treatment of fairness in Mexico.

Felipe Calderon: Stupid person.
