Growing Up Obama

Written by Robert Rhodes on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in: Politics |

Feel like your children aren’t getting enough knowledge of the political system? Well, they should be schooled in the ways of politics! And no better way than Obama’s inauguration by way of Nickelodeon:

Nickelodeon TV, the children’s’ network, is getting ready to cover its first presidential inauguration.

Young reporters Lily Collins, rocker Phil Collins’ daughter, and J.J. (Nick would not release his last name) will be in Washington on Jan. 20 to show Barack Obama’s inauguration from a pint-sized perspective.

You can’t make this stuff up. Although, I wish I were:

The station’s young viewers are particularly interested in the process because Barack and Michelle Obama’s daughters, Malia and Sasha, are squarely in Nick’s demographic…

It’s important to follow The One through all important times… starting young!

I say, turn off the television, and introduce your kids to the Constitution of the United States… before you can’t find a copy of it anymore. (Barry O hasn’t read it yet… but he’s ready with a red pen to make corrections that that crappy piece of paper. I mean, Conservatism? Christian values? A free market system? What dribble, right Barry?)

  • A television channel for children seems an appropriate venue for inaugurating Obama, somehow…
