What is it lately? What’s happened? Why does there seem to be a rash of deaths all of a sudden?

I’m not sure. I have not got a clue.

For my family and friends, it started with the loss of Curt Elbert Mitchell (seen at right). One of my life-long friends that I considered a brother.

Then a slew of other deaths followed.. Farrah Fawcett. Michael Jackson. And today, of all people, Billy Mays.

Here’s my personal opinion of what happened…

Curt was such a strong personality that he managed to hold the Grim Reaper from doing his job. Once Curt passed on, there wasn’t anyone to stop ol’ Grim from grabbing all the other high-priority names on his list.

Of course, my opinion is my own, and probably unlikely. But, Curt certainly held the lion’s share of strength and courage in his life. Battling diabetes since birth, and all the evils that come from it.

Still… the timing of it all makes me think. Who knows?
